Support groups are currently held 3 times per month in McAllen and Brownsville, and are open to persons living with mental illness, their family and friends. Everyone is encouraged to share about their experiences in an open and supportive atmosphere that is created to foster trust and hope.
NAMI Partnerships is a 1-day, educational event covering mental health topics. Topics include: mood disorders, causes of schizophrenia, mental health myths and facts, how medication works, maintaining personal safety, suicide prevention, creating a supportive environment, building communication skills and problem solving.

FaithNet Presentations take place in local churches. Community members throughout the Valley will share their stories and those of their loved ones at their places of worship. Speaking topics include the importance of combating stigma, seeking treatment for persons living with mental illness, and suicide prevention.
